GSM IS 25!

Setup in Wandsworth, in 1997 by Guy Symmons after the birth of his first child Louis, Guy decided to start GSM Finance which is named after its founders Guy, Sam and Matt. GSM was created to help aid UK SMEs reach their potential by accessing the assets they require to grow through tailored finance packages. GSM has always been and will remain a service-orientated business and our friendly and efficient approach means we have a loyal client base. Over the years we have helped a number of well known brands and SMEs, our founding principles are as true today as they were 25 years ago - to develop good relationships with clients and help them grow their businesses through asset finance.

Since then GSM has gone from strength to strength and has become one of London's largest leading finance brokers, enabling thousands of companies to access millions of pounds worth of assets which they needed to grow. Over the years, GSM has secured over 1 billion pounds of funding for SMEs, helping hundreds of companies thrive and grow. We have won many awards for our services in the asset finance industry, including winning broker of the year 3 years running, which we are very proud of.

Our continuing success at securing credit facilities for our customers, even in an adverse economic climate, demonstrates our capabilities and understanding of our clients businesses. We put our success down to our flexibility and diversity; we have developed a solid client base across a cross-section of UK businesses and developed some interesting niche markets where many commercial finance companies may not have the expertise. We provide commercial funding and asset lending for many household-named companies throughout the UK, as well as start-ups. Because we understand our markets, we have excellent relationships with a large number of industry-recognised funders having more than 30 funding lines which enable us to secure funding for a wide variety of companies, large and small.

GSM has had many milestone moments in different sectors, funding many iconic flagship retail stores over the years one of them being Hamleys and achieving funding for half the sites in the UK's first Westfield. Also obtaining finance for some of our loyal broadcast and media customers who have filmed Teletubbies, Doctors, football matches and most recently the Queen's Funeral. In addition, we have helped many restaurants, bars and hotels that have expanded to multiple sites over the UK. GSM has become a specialist in ambulance finance and is the trusted finance partner of the Independent Ambulance Association. A big moment for GSM was when we successfully sourced funding for the HATS Group allowing them to add the UK’s first fully-electric ambulance to their fleet of ambulances and special needs patient transport vehicles.

Last week GSM, minus a few faces, celebrated at Hush Mayfair and had a lovely lunch over some very fond memories from the past years.
